Nortel Business Communications Manager (BCM)
Nortel's BCM solution is one of the most sophisticated and reliable converged voice and data solutions available for branch offices and small to medium sized businesses (SMB). The BCM is a converged communications system that delivers Nortel reliable and proven voice processing, feature-rich business telephony applications and data networking services over a single platform that is managed via a web-based tool. As a highly reliable, scalable and integrated voice and data solution, BCM is designed to align with the universal core business objectives to increase revenues, improve customer service, streamline costs and expand market reach.
BCM has been designed to allow customers to build on the platform by adding applications as needed. Risk-averse customers can start with TDM-based communication and migrate to IP when the time is right. The BCM system is a hybrid system which includes Digital, IP and Analogue phones. With BCM, disparate systems, equipment and applications such as voice messaging, auto-attendant and contact centre functionality can be consolidated in one package!
Gibtelecom offers two BCM models, the main difference between them is the expandability for future group. The BCM 50 has two expansion slots, whilst the BCM450 has ten.
BCM50 - Ideal for 20 users and under (with growth to 76 users including 32 IP)
BCM450 – Supports up to 100 users with the base model (with growth to 300 users including 150 IP)
Centrex
Centrex provides businesses with PBX features and applications without the need for on-site equipment as it is based and maintained from Gibtelecom's Exchange. This system is scalable and provides voice communication solutions to all types of businesses, from the small retailer to the largest financial institution.
IP Centrex
IP Centrex is Gibtelecom's exchange-hosted Nortel solution that provides customers with IP PABX and/or analogue functionality on their phone handsets. The system is scalable and can be customised in terms of size, configuration and telephone handset functionality. It can also connect users at multiple loctions throughout Gibraltar if required.
The are two main offerings: Analogue IP Centrex and IP Centrex. The latter offers users enhanced functionaility via a range of IP handsets. Advanced features include Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) and automated attendant facilities, available on both offerings at an additional cost.
The IP Centrex system provides users with enhanced functionaility on IP handsets, unlike the anologue version where system features are keyed in. These include soft keys for easy access to system features, incoming caller ID, caller lists and redial lists, among others.
Panasonic KX-TEA 308 Hybrid Telephone System
The Panasonic KX-TEA 308 Hybrid Telephone System was designed specifically for small to medium businesses and has a wealth of vital features catering for up to three lines and eight extensions.
The system will accomodate single line devices such as standard analogue phones, cordless phones etc, as well as proprietary key telephones such as the KX-T7730E which utilise system features to a maximum.
