In order to be able to use the internet on your mobile you may need to have the required data settings configured on your device.
On an Android phone
Go to Settings and select More networks under Network Connections.
Click Mobile Networks and Access Point Names then click the ‘plus’ sign in the top right corner.
You need to enter www.gibtele.com under APN and a name for the connection e.g. Gibtel. The rest of the fields can remain as per default/blank.
Once saved this should appear in your Access Point Names list.
For data to work you need to have Mobile Data enabled under Mobile networks and the Network mode should include either 3G or 4G dependent on your handset (“4G/3G/2G” is recommended).
On an Apple iOS phone
From the main menu, tap Settings and select Cellular or Mobile Data.
Check that Cellular Data is turned on and the LTE setting is enabled (or that ‘Voice and Data’ is set to 4G, depending on what version of iOS you are on) and then tap Cellular Data Network.
Enter the following information under the Cellular Data or Mobile Data Options section: APN www.gibtele.com and a name for the connection e.g. Gibtel. The rest of the fields can remain blank. Press the Home button to save the APN and exit to the main screen.
Note: You may need to turn your phone on and off again for changes to be applied.
