Gibtelecom will be holding a Community “Family Day” this coming Saturday 11 July 2015 at John Mackintosh Square from 10:00 to 14:00.
The event is being held to commemorate the quarter of a century since the formation of Gibraltar Nynex Communications (now Gibtelecom) and as a way of saying thank you to customers for their support over these years. There will be activities for everyone to enjoy on the day, in particular the younger members of the community. These include jumping castles, face painting and arts & crafts stalls, as well as music and performances by various local dance groups. Everyone is welcome to attend this family event and enjoy the entertainment on offer.
Better known as “GNC” or “Nynex”, this joint venture between the Government of Gibraltar and Nynex Communications of the United States, came into being in May 1990 following the privatisation of the then Gibraltar Government Telephone Department.
As part of the Company’s 25 years celebrations, Gibtelecom will be announcing other initiatives in the weeks to come.
