With more than 15,000 customers for its GSM services, Gibwireless has consistently kept ahead of its rivals in the fast-moving and competitive mobile phone market. Though the bulk of mobile customers take advantage of the prepaid service, one third of the company’s customers for these services have their mobile costs charged to their accounts.
 
Mobile phone technology is constantly advancing and Gibtelecom has kept pace with developments including the advent of data access via mobile phones.
