4G Calling (also known as VoLTE) is now available, at no extra cost, allowing you to make high definition voice calls over our 4G network, rather than dropping to 3G or 2G to connect a call.
How does it work?
You don’t have to do anything special to use 4G Calling, you just need to enable a compatible handset and simply call as normal and the network will do the rest. 4G Calling uses Voice over Long-Term Evolution (VoLTE) 4G technology. 4G is not only great for streaming, web browsing, and downloading, but it can now also be used for enhanced calls between compatible VOLTE-enabled handsets, with several noticeable improvements.
What are the benefits?
Superior call quality
Better voice quality when calling from mobile to mobile.
Call connection time is four times as fast as before.
Simultaneous voice and data connections
Surf the web and use data-driven apps whilst on handsfree and your internet will not slow down during a call.
Reduced background noise
When calling within a crowded area, background noises are reduced to a minimum.
Longer battery life
Not having to switch between 2G/3G/4G as often, saves you on valuable battery power.
Is there an additional cost for using 4G Calling?
There is no additional cost for using 4G Calling. Calls and texts will be deducted from your monthly allowances as normal. Anything outside your monthly allowance will be charged at our standard rates.
Can I use 4G while roaming?
