Role

• Participate in an on-call rotation
• Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot full-stack environments
• Proactively research and recommend new IT solutions, including vendor evaluations
• Continually seek ways to optimize and improve all operational aspects of our IT infrastructure
• Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures
• Provide technical support and assistance to other internal teams with their IT infrastructure requirements

Key Technical Skills/Requirements

• Experience with automation, application deployment and infrastructure provisioning
• Creating and maintaining Infrastructure As Code using tools such as Puppet, Ansible or Terraform
• Work with log aggregation tools like ELK or Splunk
• Strong understanding of key networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
• GIT version control
• 3+ years of experience with VMWare or OpenStack virtualisation technologies
• 3+ years of experience scripting and/or programming in a Linux & Windows environment
• Ability to learn and onboard new technologies with minimal supervision and support in a dynamic environment

Key Non-Technical Skills/Requirements

• 4 years’ experience in a similar role or as a technical specialist
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both technical and non-technical staff
• Fluent in English
• Ability to complete complex tasks methodically, with an eye for detail
• Enthusiastic and passionate about IT
• Excellent organisation, task prioritisation and time management skills, with the ability to operate independently

Desirable

• Python, PowerShell or GO experience for basic automation tasks
• Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Bamboo and Confluence
  Experience with Veeam Backup & Recovery
