Job Overview
We are seeking a highly capable and confident IT Engineer to join our Managed Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering proactive IT support, managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure, administering Microsoft 365 environments, and maintaining secure, reliable network and endpoint services for our clients.
This is a fast-paced, customer-focused role requiring strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Administer, support, and maintain Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and re-lated services.
- Manage endpoint devices using Microsoft Intune and RMM platforms, ensuring compliance, security, and lifecycle management.
- Implement and maintain endpoint security solutions, including Microsoft Defender, antivirus, endpoint detection and response (EDR), encryption, and security policies.
- Support and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN and other network infrastructure across customer environments.
- Configure, support and troubleshoot network equipment from vendors including Juniper, Cisco and other leading networking manufacturers.
- Monitor managed infrastructure and respond proactively to alerts, incidents, and service requests in line with agreed SLAs.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across cloud, endpoint, and infra-structure technologies.
- Perform system maintenance, upgrades, patch management, and security updates.
- Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation and customer records.
- Work closely with colleagues across Managed Services to deliver exceptional cus-tomer service and technical support.
- Participate in project work, migrations, and the implementation of new customer solutions.
- Keep up to date with developments in Microsoft technologies, cybersecurity, networking and managed services.
Pre-Sales & Customer Solution Support
As part of the role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to support the sales and solutions teams with technical activities, including:
- Working with the sales team to understand and qualify customer technical requirements.
- Participating in customer discovery meetings and site visits.
- Supporting the creation of technical proposals, solution designs and statements of work.
- Assisting with network and Wi-Fi solution recommendations based on customer requirements.
- Providing technical input into customer presentations and solution discussions.
- Supporting proof-of-concept deployments and technical workshops where required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working within an IT support, Managed Services Provider (MSP) or similar technical environment.
- Strong administration experience with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience managing endpoint devices, mobile device management (MDM), and endpoint security.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Zero Trust security principles.
- Good fundamental networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs and wireless networking.
- Experience troubleshooting common network, connectivity and printer-related issues.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across Microsoft 365, endpoint and infrastructure technologies
- Experience using remote monitoring and management (RMM) and professional services automation (PSA) tools is desirable.
- Strong documentation and organisational skills.

Relevant certifications are beneficial but are not essential where the candidate can demonstrate equivalent practical experience.
