FAQs
No, our Tourist SIMs are data-only. Voice and SMS services are not included, except for emergency calls to Police, Fire & Ambulance Services (999).
No, Tourist SIMs cannot be topped up. They are valid for 14 days, after which they will be deactivated and cannot be extended or reused. This means you cannot purchase an additional data plan using the same SIM/eSIM once it has expired.
The Tourist SIM is intended for short-term personal use in Gibraltar, however roaming is available in Spain, making it ideal if you're travelling between Gibraltar and Spain. Please note roaming is not supported in any other countries.
Most newer phones support eSIM technology. Please check your device settings or manufacturer’s website to confirm compatibility.
You can track your data usage by going to the Settings on your phone and viewing the Data Usage section. Most smartphones show how much mobile data you've used over a specific period.
If mobile data doesn’t work right away, you may need to manually configure the APN:
iOS
Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network → enter APN: www.gibtele.com
Android
Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names → enter APN: www.gibtele.com
